Interior design of our apartment step by step.

Projektowanie wnętrz naszego mieszkania krok po kroku

Having a new apartment at our disposal, wanting to arrange it so that it meets our requirements, while doing it with caution, the first thing we have to do is stop the emotions and excitement that accompany us. When designing our little nest, we must be guided by prudence, which is not possible with too intense feelings. We are faced with quite a challenge that not everyone is able to cope with without moments of doubt, helplessness and helplessness. It is not as simple a task as it may seem. We are faced with a multitude of difficult choices and difficult compromises that cannot be avoided. So how do you cope with this task? What advice should you put into practice and which advice should be avoided? What mistakes can stand in our way and spoil the implementation of plans and dreams?

Good and future-oriented interior design makes sense when we combine our dream style with functionality and practicality. Otherwise, even in a beautifully organized apartment, which seems to be the fulfillment of our dreams, we will not feel well, because we will constantly struggle with the problems of everyday use. This does not exclude the fact that our decor should be individual, tailored to our preferences and harmonized with our character. It should also meet our needs and not interfere with the lifestyle we lead. So the apartment of a young married couple will look different, a single’s apartment, and a different apartment for seniors. Regardless of its purpose, each apartment should be unique and designed in such a way that we want to come back to it.

First of all, when arranging an apartment on our own, we should equip ourselves with guides presenting interior design from the closer side, from the kitchen. Catalogs offering us a varied offer of furniture and decorative gadgets are also indispensable. It will also be a good idea to find out about the styles of apartments – if we have a fairly small area, then we should not design a glamor-style apartment, which may result in a “burrow” effect, but rather we should turn to the Scandinavian style – light furniture, walls and floors optically enlarge our space. When choosing elements in a specific style, however, always remember about our personal preferences and needs. It is also worth considering the passions of its tenants in the interior design:
    – if the resident is an artist who enjoys music, vinyl records can be hung on the walls as an original decoration. – if there is a painter in the apartment – let his painting equipment be exposed – not every house can afford such an element, and here we will combine decoration with utility. – if the place belongs to a person who loves fashion, you can easily equip them with an impressive wardrobe not only organizing all the collected items that are used by a given person, creating unusual stylizations, but also displaying them to help create a designer atmosphere. – and if the future resident is to be a person whose passion is cooking, nothing stands in the way of equipping the interior with culinary gadgets.

    – if we love cinema and movies, let’s create a cinema lover’s corner for ourselves, equipped with the most comfortable armchair or couch for us. Let’s create unique interiors that describe our personality – only then will we make them unique and perfectly suited to our needs and requirements.

Interior design also includes colors, which should also express ourselves. If we are extravagant, we like crazy, intense colors – adjustable furniture in strong colors. After all, we ourselves are to feel better in our apartment than anywhere else. If we do not stand out from the crowd, we like pastel and subdued colors – let our apartment also be in the range of pastel colors. What if we don’t identify with any of these groups? Let’s choose furniture in subdued colors, which is more universal, and let’s focus on accessories in more interesting colors. They will make our interior a bit crazier, but without exaggeration.

When arranging your apartment, let’s not forget that our design, as well as everything else, may ultimately differ slightly from the ideas formed in our heads. However, this is not a reason to abandon activities or get discouraged, because perfect interior design includes the method of trial and error – this is the only way to achieve perfection. The best solutions will not be dictated by specialists, qualified interior architects, nor by guides and TV programs. The most appropriate ideas and decisions are imposed by ourselves. Because we ourselves know what is best for us, what appeals to us the most, and what we feel best in the company of. And this is what it is all about when interior design is to bring the expected results – a sense of security and comfort.
